Last week one of my friends from Shenzhen came up to see me in Jinan. I forgot how nice it was to have a friend to chat with and do things with! She came Wednesday night and then Friday night we left for Beijing (Ill post pics later).
One night we went for Korean BBQ.

When we looked at the menu we figured we were at hot pot because we saw a lot of raw meat and vegetables. We waited for 5 minutes for them to bring us a pot of soup. Finally we realized that the metal thing had charcoal under it and was meant for BBQing
It took us even longer to figure out there was a sauce bar
The people working there were watching us and laughing
The meal came with a bowl of lettuce and then the sauce bar had salad dressing--so I made an amazing salad--so good!
Then we went to walmart to find Christmas decorations!
I got a tree but have yet to put it up.
This is a picture of the main square again at night-the fountain is straight ahead but its not running.
So in the middle of an intersection and during lunch traffic, this man just pops the top off of a sewer and hops in--his friend is watching and helping while cars and bikes swerve around him--not something you see everyday.
